Upload Terms and Content Licence

These Upload Terms and Content Licence apply to every artist, producer, label, promoter, writer, or other user who uploads music, artwork, videos, images, lyrics, or other content to West Nile Post.

By uploading content to West Nile Post, you agree to these terms.

1. Who May Upload Content

You may upload content only if you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You must provide accurate account details and contact information. You are responsible for all content uploaded through your account.

2. Your Ownership and Permissions

You confirm that you own the content you upload or have obtained all necessary rights, licences, permissions, and approvals to upload it to West Nile Post.

This includes permission from every relevant rights holder, including the artist, songwriter, producer, beat owner, instrumental owner, label, distributor, photographer, videographer, designer, featured artist, and any person whose work appears in the content.

Before uploading a song, you must ensure that you have the right to use:

The sound recording
The composition, lyrics, and melody
The beat, instrumental, sample, or loop
Featured vocals and performances
Album cover artwork and promotional images
Music videos or visual content
Artist names, logos, trademarks, and likenesses

You must not upload content that you copied from another website, streaming platform, social-media page, music platform, video platform, or artist without written permission.

3. Licence You Give to West Nile Post

You keep ownership of your content.

By uploading content, you grant West Nile Post a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, stream, distribute, promote, market, make available for download, and otherwise use your content through West Nile Post and its official promotional channels.

This licence allows West Nile Post to:

Publish your song or content on the website.
Allow users to stream and download the content where downloads are enabled.
Display your artist name, song title, biography, artwork, and related upload information.
Promote your content through West Nile Post social-media accounts, advertisements, search engines, newsletters, and other promotional channels.
Create technical copies, backups, previews, thumbnails, waveform displays, and converted audio formats needed to operate the platform.
Feature your content in playlists, categories, charts, search results, recommendations, and promotional pages.

This licence continues until you delete the content or request its removal, except that West Nile Post may keep reasonable backup copies for security, legal, accounting, and technical purposes.

4. Downloads, Streaming, and Promotion

When you enable downloads, you authorise West Nile Post to make your content available for public download without charge unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

You understand that users may stream, download, share links to, and listen to content made publicly available on West Nile Post. West Nile Post cannot fully control copies made by users after a download has been completed.

West Nile Post may promote uploaded content, but does not guarantee a specific number of streams, downloads, views, followers, sales, earnings, rankings, publicity, or commercial results.

5. Prohibited Content

You must not upload content that:

Infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contract, or other legal rights.
Uses an unlicensed beat, sample, instrumental, melody, lyric, vocal, artwork, photograph, video, or logo.
Contains false, misleading, or fraudulent information about ownership, artist identity, releases, downloads, streams, earnings, or promotion.
Impersonates another artist, label, producer, company, or person.
Contains malware, viruses, harmful code, spam, or files intended to interfere with the website or users.
Promotes illegal activity or violates applicable laws.
Contains unlawful threats, harassment, or content that unlawfully violates another person's rights.
Includes personal information about another person without their permission.

6. Copyright Complaints and Takedowns

West Nile Post respects copyright. Copyright owners or authorised representatives may submit a Copyright Takedown Request if they believe content on the website infringes their rights.

After receiving a valid complaint, West Nile Post may remove, disable access to, or restrict the reported content while reviewing the matter. We may notify you and request evidence of ownership or permission.

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may submit a Counter-Notice with supporting evidence. West Nile Post may share relevant information with the complainant where necessary to resolve the dispute.

7. Content Removal and Account Action

West Nile Post may remove, block, edit, limit, or disable content at any time where we reasonably believe that it violates these Upload Terms, the Copyright Policy, applicable law, or another person's rights.

West Nile Post may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts that repeatedly upload infringing content, submit false copyright claims, impersonate others, or violate these Upload Terms.

We may remove content without prior notice where necessary to protect users, copyright owners, or the platform.

8. Your Responsibility and Indemnity

You are responsible for the content you upload and for any claims, disputes, losses, damages, costs, or legal expenses arising from your content or your breach of these Upload Terms.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold West Nile Post, its owners, administrators, employees, partners, and service providers harmless from claims arising out of:

Your uploaded content.
Your failure to obtain required rights or permissions.
Copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights claims related to your content.
Your use of the website in violation of these Upload Terms or applicable law.

9. No Guarantee of Storage, Availability, or Earnings

West Nile Post may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature, including uploads, streaming, downloads, promotion, artist pages, or account services.

We do not guarantee that content will always be available, stored permanently, or displayed without interruption. You should keep your own backup copies of all uploaded files.

West Nile Post does not guarantee that uploads will generate streams, downloads, views, income, advertising revenue, sponsorships, royalties, or any other financial return.

10. Privacy and Personal Information

By uploading content, you agree that your artist name, song title, artwork, biography, social-media links, and other information you choose to publish may be visible to the public.

Do not upload confidential information or personal information about other people without permission.

11. Changes to These Upload Terms

West Nile Post may update these Upload Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on the website with a revised "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of the upload feature after updated terms are published means that you accept the updated terms.
